Ever think of that!

So I might run out of roommate stories sooner than I thought. I can only think of two more right now. Maybe I am suppressing some of the bad memories, or I just don't have as many as I thought. Maybe it is just partly that even though I have had plenty of bad roommates, some of them I just don't have a particular story about. In fact the one I am going to tell today is more just a weird quirk this girl had. She had a bowl and a spoon that she used for eating all her meals with. That isn't that weird except that she never washed them. She would just rinse them off and put them back in her cupboard. I asked her one time, "What if you have something with garlic and then you have ice cream next?" She said, "Oh, that has happened before." Strangely, she got sick quite often. She always blamed it on me, saying that I kept the house too cold. Every time she said that I just wanted to yell, "MAYBE IT IS THAT BOWL AND SPOON YOU NEVER WASH! EVER THINK OF THAT!"

Last Word

So I had this roommate that had a pretty strong personality. We didn't get a long very well because I kind of have one too. But I really wasn't trying to be a jerk when we had this fight until maybe the end. So here is what happened.
The blinds in our living room were closed and they were not the direction that I usually turned them. Normally I wouldn't care but these were white blinds that had kind of yellowed on one side so I usually just turned them so the yellow was facing out. Well I had not been the one to shut them that night. So I just walked over to them and changed it not having any idea that the other roommate cared. Right after I did it she said, "Doesn't it insulate better if they are turned the other way?"
Me, calmly: "I don't see how that would make a difference."
Her: "Why do you always have to have the last word?"
Me, still calmly: "I'm sorry, I didn't know you felt that way."
Her: "See what I mean!"
Me, now kind of mad: "I just apologized to you! If you can't take that I don't know what to tell you!"
She then stomped up the stairs and I being very sassy, yelled "Goodnight!"
I guess I do have to have the last word. :-)

So this next story is actually about the same roommate. She was entertaining! Although it didn't seem like it at the time. Especially when I woke up late at night to "Barbie Girl" But now I can laugh about it.
So when I lived down in St. George I spent a lot of time with my friend Danny. One day he told me that he thought my roommate was stocking him. I wasn't sure I believed it so I asked him why he thought that. He told me that on campus everywhere he turned, there she was. She had also shown up at his house for some unknown reason. Well I am pretty sure that I didn't tell anyone of Danny's suspicions. A couple days later my roommate came up to me and said "So Danny thinks I am stocking him huh?" I was at a loss for words because, AHHHH how did she know that if she wasn't?

Crazy Roommate Story Saturdays

So I was telling someone one of the many crazy stories I have about past roommates and I got a great idea to start adding them to my blog. I can probably fill up several months of Saturdays with these stories. I have had ALOT of roommates! Don't get me wrong, I have had a lot of good roommates but I have had some crazy ones too!
The first story I will tell you is about a roommate I had when I was in beauty school. She was majoring in drama I think. I came home one day to find her reading a script in the mirror. She didn't care that I was there, she kept reading. I went in my room and remember hearing her yelling, "Your Mother never loved you!" Wow, was all I could think! Then one day I woke up to a very fake cry coming from her room. While I was deciding whether to go check on her she walked past my bedroom still fake crying. She went to the phone (yes it was the days before everyone having their own cell phones) and called someone. I hear "Is Matt there?" in a normal voice. "Matt" gets on the phone and she says "Oh Matt, I had the worst nightmare!" I couldn't help but think, "Poor Matt. Whoever he was."
